ABOUT ME
My name is Stefano Padoan, and I am an Italian musician currently based in London (UK). I hold a degree in Jazz Drums from the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. Throughout my musical journey, I have specialized in various genres, including Pop, Rock, Jazz, Funk, and Latin.
To further develop my drumming and teaching skills, I have actively sought out opportunities to learn from renowned musicians. I have attended Masterclasses with esteemed drummers such as Horacio “El Negro” Hernández, Benny Greb, Roberto Gatto, Jojo Mayer, Kim Plainfield, and Antonio Sánchez.
As a performer, I had the privilege of being part of several musical bands touring with them across Europe. I have performed in countries such as England, France, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Notably, I won the competition to play at the Sziget Festival in Hungary and performed on big stages such as the Home Festival and A Night Like This Festival in Italy and Magnet Festival in the Netherlands. In 2017, I was additionally nominated in the semi-finals of the MEI Super Band as the best drummer in the Italian independent scene.
I have also ventured into the realm of production and recording, working with various artists both in Italy and the UK. Some notable collaborations include John Canoe, Michael Luke, and MahDoh. Together, we have released several albums, showcasing our collective creativity and musical expression.
Furthermore, I had the opportunity to share the stage with esteemed artists from the Italian and the UK jazz scene. Working alongside talented musicians such as Maurizio Giammarco, Valentina Ramunno, Vittorio Solimene, and Rocco Scarcella, I have been fortunate to contribute to the vibrant jazz community.
In addition to my artistic pursuits, I collaborated with the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama. This collaboration led me to perform as part of the Impossibilities Project Ensemble at the renowned Barbican venue in London, further expanding my musical horizons.
